I Objectives

By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

- Distinguish the clusters /tr/, /dr/, /tw/ and pronounce the

words and sentences containing them correctly

- Understand reported speech with gerund and use these

structures to solve communicative tasks

Warm up:

- T shows some pictures about some kinds of things which contains the sound /tr/, /dr/, /tw/

- Ask the Sts to read out their names

- Ask Sts guess what

sounds are you going to learn today?

Pronunciation:

- Model the three sounds twice

or three times

- Name the pictures

- Answers: Tree, trophy, trouser, drive, drink, dress, twenty, twin, twelve

- /tr/, /dr/, /tw/

- Observe the T

- /tr/: first, produce the

sound /t/ and quickly

switch to /r/

- /dr/, /tw/: do the same

- Call on some Sts to make

it again

- T read the words in

column first and ask Sts
