I) AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

+ LANGUAGE CONTENT :

* To help the students know kinds of volunteer work and activities to do volunteer work

+ LANGUAGE FUNCTION :

* To talk about different kinds of activities related to volunteer work

+ EDUCATIONAL AIM :

* To help students to be aware of the meaning of volunteer work

1/ Languages :

* Vocabulary : + give comfort (v) + war invalid (n)

+ intersection (n) + martyr (n) + participate (v) + take part in (v)

* Structures: Yes/No questions and Wh-questions

2/ Skill : Speaking

3/ Educational factor :

* To educate in students the good attitude to war invalids and martyrs , know how to share and give care and comfort to the poor and the sick

1/ Method : Communicative approach

2/ Techniques : Game :Word Grid, Explanation, Using pictures and examples, Situation

* Read the guiding books and grammatical books before going to school

III) PROCEDURES IN CLASS

1 Stabilization : ( 1 minute)

* Greeting the students and asking them something about the attendance , their health, the weather and preparation

2 Checking-up the previous knowledge : ( 5 minutes)

* Calling one student to B/B:

+ Answer the questions:

1 Read the proverb related to “Little Moment , Big Magic”

2 List some types of volunteer work

3 What do people do volunteer work ? + Fill in the gaps:

1 Last month the company (volunteer) to donate 50 trucks to help the flooded areas

2 She needs some (volunteer) to clean up the kitchen

3 She was not fired She left the company (volunteer)

4 When she retired , she did a lot of (volunteer) service for the Red Cross

* Correcting the mistakes , giving remarks and marking
