Activity 1: fractions
- give two examples with two fractions : 2/3 an
12/ 123 and ask SS to say out them
- Sts give their answers
- T gives comments , an review more knowledge
about how to say / write a fraction
- give more exercises and ask them to do
- after SS finish, call some students go to bb to
do
- correct them
Activity 2 : relative clauses
- write on the board some sentences with
relative clauses:
- Ask SS what these sentences have in common
(expected : they all contain a relative clause.)
- Tell SS to rewrite the sentences in other
possible ways:
- underline the phrases and tell SS to pay
attention to these:
I- Fractions:
1 3/4 : three - quarters
2 3/5 : three – fifths
3 1/3 : one – third
4 1/2 : a half
5 7/10: seven-tenth
Ex: a Louis Armstrong was the first man who landed on the Moon.
