Week 1

Period 2 : Lesson 1: Look, listen and repeat; look and say; let’s talk (1, 2 ,3)

Aim: to get students to practice listening and speaking about greeting and

introducing name

 Good ss: can use all And real name to introducing & greeting

Teaching Aids: pictures, cassettes player.

* Slap the board

- Have ss call out some names in

the book:pictures

*Note: Good ss are supposed to

call the names and average ss

will slap the name.

II Pre - Speaking

1 Set the scene

- T shows pictures of ss who are

greeting Ss look at and descibe

it

2 Present the pattern

T models, Ss repeat and extract

new target iterm

III While- Speaking

- T models and build an exchange

IV Post- Speaking

- Ss walk around class and

practice with their friends using:

students

Aim: to get students to practice greeting and introducing name.

 Good Ss can read the chant in front the class

Teaching Aids: pictures, cassettes player.

Ss review greeting and introducing

name by playing Chain drill.

II Pre- writing

* Opened prediction

- In groups Ss discuss what to do

*Listen and tick

- Ss listen twice and share their

answer

- Ss show their answers on the board

in 2 groups (A, B)

- Listen again to check

*Note: Good ss are supposed to

recall the sentence they hear and

average ss will say the answer.

III While- writing

- T reads the song, ss repeat Have 2

ss reread the song

- T sing, ss listen and sing T builds

- Ss work in small groups, discuss to

rearrange words to make sentences

- Have 2 groups show their works on

the board Ss evaluate and correct
