A Bài học:
I Adjectives: (Tính từ)
- Đứng trước danh từ ( Ex: This is an easy test)
- Đứng sau 1 số động từ: be, look, feel, taste, sound, smell, become, grow, turn, seem, appear, keep, get, stay,… (Ex: She is nice)
II Adverbs: (Trạng từ)
* Vị trí: - Trạng từ thường đứng trước tính từ (This river is extremely polluted)
- Đứng sau động từ mà nó bổ nghĩa (He is walking slowly on the sidewalks)
* Hình thức: - Adj + ly = adv (careful -> carefully, happy -> happily)
- Tính từ và trạng từ có hình thức giống nhau (fast, hard, late, long, easy)
- Riêng tính từ good -> trạng từ là well
III Adjective + that clause: Các tính từ dùng với mẫu câu này là: happy, pleased, sure, afraid, amazed, sorry, certain, delighted, excited, disappointed, proud, surprised, glad, worried,
… (I am happy that the river is not polluted)
VI Adverb clauses of reason: (Mệnh đề trạng ngữ chỉ nguyên nhân / lí do)
- as / because / since: vì, bởi vì
- Ex: Because / as / since he works hard, he has good results
(Hoặc: He has good results because / as / since he works hard)
V Conditional sentences: Type 1 (Câu điều kiện loại 1)
- If clause: simple present
- Main clause: simple future
Ex: If we don’t hurry, we will miss the train.
B Bài tập:
I Complete the sentences with adjectives or adverbs:
1) He greeted me with a … smile (happy / happily)
