UNIT 19: WHICH PLACE WOULD YOU LIKE TO VISIT ?

LESSON 1

I

OBJECTIVES

1 Knowledge: By the end of this unit pupils can

- Use the words, phrases related to the topics placesr

Ask, answer questions about which place someone would like to visit using Which place would you like to visit…or….? I’d like to visit….

* Language focus:

- Sentence patterns: What will the weather be like tomorrow? It’s will be… and….

- Vocabulary: museum, pagoda,bridge,temple

2 Skills: - Develope Ss reading, writing, speaking and listening skills

3 Attitude: - Help Ss to be more confident to communicate in English with

others

- Ss can solve problems and study themselves

- Studious and obedient students and love their hometown, family and friends

II TEACHING AIDS

1 Teacher’s: Lesson plan, books, flashcards or pictures, speakers, softbook,

projector and computer

2 Students’: Books, notebooks, workbooks.

1.Organization(1’)

- Greetings: T- Ss greet each other

- Checking attendance: Who’s absent today? Ss: Answer

3 New lesson:

Act 1 : Look, listen and repeat( 8’)

* Set the scene:

T:Ask Ss to open their book on page 58 and

describe 4 pictures

-T:You are going to listen the dialogue between

them

- T:Play the recording twice

- T:Ask Ss to repeat a few times

- Ss: listen and repeat

- T:Call some pair to perform

- T:Have the whole class repeat all the phrases a

few times to reinforce their pronunciation

- Tell them to work in pairs, using the question and

several times.( line by line in the bubbles)

- Point to the picture for Ss to read the dialogue
