Objectives :

- At the end of the lesson Ss will be able to know how to pronounce the correctly

- Skills: listening, speaking

- Attitude: Students pay their attentions to practise the sound /f/ and /sh/

- Student’s book, projector

IV Procedures:

A Warm up and Review (5’): Slap the

board

- T introduces the rules of this game

- T writes the words on the board

- T divides whole class into 2 teams of 5 Ss

- T says that objects in Vietnamese for Ss slap

The person who slap the right word first will

get one point for his/her team

- T checks points of each team to find the

winner

- Whole class congratulates

New lesson:

1.Listen and repeat(10’):

- Ask about the colored letters

- Write and introduce the sound: /f/, /sh/

- Produce the sounds in a few times Ask Ss to

repeat in a few times

- Teach these words in the sentence

- Say: Look part 1 and play CD to 2 times

- Play CD and ask to repeat 2 times

- Call a model student

- Give time for group work to do and practice

2 Listen and circle Then write and say

- Have pupils look the missing sentences.

-Tell the pupils that they are going to listen to

the dialogues and circle the correct answer in

3 Let’s chant(10’):

- Asks Ss to open their book

grid on the board and tells that they are going

to chant

- Plays the recording for Ss to get familiarized

with the pronunciation the stress, the rhythm

and the intonation of the chant

- Plays the recording and asks Ss to repeat the

chant

- Plays the recording once more for Ss to

repeat whole the chant

- Calls some Ss to read the chant in front of

class
