I Objective:

1 Language focus:

By the end of this lesson, students will review identifying animals and saying what animals they like

Vocabulary and structures: review

2 Skill:

- Listening, speaking, reading, writing

3 Attitude:

- Encourage Ss to use the structure more regulary

II Teaching aids:

+ Teacher’s aids: Ss’book and teacher’s book, class CDs, flashcards, projector /TV + Students’ aids: Student book, notebooks, workbook.

III Method:

- Model - Talk - Practice, individual work, pair work, group work

IV Procedures:

1 Organization:

1B Monday, January 25th 2021

1D Tuesday, January 26th 2021

2 Warm up (5’)

*Activity: Guess, say and act

- T mouths an animal, e.g “cat”

- Ss guess and say what the animal is (e.g “It’s a cat.”)

- T asks Ss to act out the word

- Continue the activity with the name of other animals

3 New lesson (30’)

*Activity A Listen and circle (A or B) (10’)

- T asks Ss to look at the pictures and call out the

colors they can see

- T plays the CD and asks Ss to listen and check

the example Explain if it’s necessary

- T plays the CD again and asks Ss to listen and

circle A or B

- T plays the CD again and check answers as a

whole class

*Activity B Play " Chain" game (10')

A Listen and circle (A or B).

- T asks Ss to look at the example.

- T divide the class into two teams

- T asks Ss to stand facing away from the board

and stick a flashcard on the board behind him/her

- T asks Ss to try to guess the color and make a

sentence without looking at the flashcard Have

the others say “Yes” for the correct sentence and

“No” for the wrong sentence

- T give that team one point if it's a correct guess

*Activity: “Who is faster?” (10’)

- T divide the class into groups

- T arrange the flashcards on the board

- T invite a student from each group to go to the

board

- T says a word and the students run to tap the

right card

*Activity: “Animal Jumble”

- T mix the flashcards of Unit 5 - lessons 1 and 3

- T put them on a table in front of the class.

- T divide Ss into two teams

- T invite a student from each group to go to the board

- T say a word and asks Ss race to find the flashcard

3 New lesson (30’)

*Activity A Listen and circle (A or B) (10’)

- T asks Ss to look at the pictures and call out the

body parts they can see

- T play the CD and demonstrate the activity

using the example

- T play the CD and asks Ss to listen and circle A

or B

- T play the CD again and asks Ss to check

answers as a whole class

*Activity B Play “Guess the picture" (10')

- T divide the class into 2 teams

- T calls a student stand facing away from the

board and stick a flashcard on the board behind

him/her

- T asks Ss try to guess the answer without

looking at the flashcard

- T give that team 1 point if it's a correct guess

- Have teams take turns

*Activity: Mime and Say (10’)

- T asks Ss to work in pairs, one mimes an action

and the other guesses and says a sentence E.g

Student A mimes ‘swim’ and Student B says ‘I

can swim.’

- T calls some pairs demonstrate the activity in

front of the class
