1 Cấu trúc
S + is/ are/ am + Ving + O S + isn’t/ aren’t/ am not +

Is/ Are/ Am + S + Ving + O?
Yes, S + is/ are/ am
No, S + isn’t/ aren’t/ am not
Ghi chú: S là chủ ngữ, V là động từ, O là tân ngữ
2 Cách sử dụng:
- Diễn tả hành động đang diễn ra tại thời điểm nói; hay sự việc diễn ra ở một thời điểm xác định trong tương lai và được lên lịch và sắp xếp sẵn
3 Dấu hiệu: now, at the moment, at present,…
4 Cách thêm đuôi -ING:
- Những động từ 1 âm tiết có tận cùng là một phụ âm mà trước nó là một nguyên âm
“u,e,o,a,i” thì nhân đôi phụ âm và thêm đuôi -ing
Eg: swim => swimming
Ngoại lệ: walk => walking và wait => waiting
- Những động từ có 1 âm tiết có tận cùng là “e” thì bỏ “e” thêm -ing
Eg: write => writing
- Những động từ có 1 âm tiết tận cùng là “ie” thì bỏ “ie” thêm “ying”
Eg: lie => lying
- Những trường hợp còn lại thêm “ing” bình thường
