Note

 Short adjectives mean that have 1 syllable such as: fast, strong, weak, small

…→ er than and the … est

Fast → faster → the fastest

 Short adjectives ending with letter “w”, we plus “er”

Slow → slower → the slowest

 Short adjectives ending with a vowel and a consonant, we double the final

consonant then plus “er”

Big → bigger → the biggest
