Text 2: Video Games
I come from a family where everyone loves playing video games
A My Dad is really keen on first-person-shooters, such as Call of Duty and Fortnite He usually plays on his computer for a few hours every evening after work and at the weekend He also plays puzzle games on his mobile or tablet when he has free time He says games, especially puzzle games, are really good for your mind and help you to become more intelligent Playing games also helps him to relax after a stressful day He rarely plays games on a console though, as he prefers to use a keyboard and mouse
B However, my sister is very different She hates to play first-person-shooters and instead, she prefers to spend time playing simulation games like The Sims or role-play games like Dragon Age She loves the stories in role-playing games and will usually play the games several times through so she can explore it completely She is at university now and often works very hard during the work on her studies, so at the weekend she can usually be found on her computer relaxing She has been playing The Sims, her favourite game for fourteen years now, since she was 4 years old!
C David, my brother, is very similar to my Dad and sister in the games he likes He enjoys playing different kinds of computer games and he can usually be found with his laptop playing games He is very lazy though and never does his college homework He says that if he becomes one of the best gamers, he can earn a lot of money He plays an online game called League of Legends and works with other people in tournaments He has not won any money yet, though

We use paper every day - from exercise books, worksheets, magazines and comics to food packaging and toilet paper In one year the world uses 400 million tonnes of paper That’s a lot
of trees chopped down to produce our paper! That is why it is important not to waste paper and

Recycling is when a material, such as paper, is used to make something new For example, old newspapers can be used to make
