1 Organization: (1’)
- Greeting and check student attendance
2 Warm-up (5’)
- Have students play a game: toss the envelope
- Give instruction for the game The students will get an envelope with the previous flash cards inside While teacher plays the music, student tosses the envelope to the next person When the music stop, the student who is holding the envelope has to pick out one flash card and read aloud If the student reads correctly, continue to toss the envelope If the student reads incorrectly, he/she has to dance following a song then

- Instruct students how to pronounce the letter name and
the letter sound by saying: “This is the letter L /el / The
letter L says /l /.”
- Repeat several times and check students’ pronunciation

- Use the phonics cards with lemon, lion, and lollipop,
read the words out loud and have students repeat
- Use gestures (hand actions) to help students to
understand the meanings of the three words
lemon: imitate eating a sour lemon
lion: mime roaring
lollipop: imitate licking a lollipop
- Stick the cards on board and have students repeat the
words chorally several times (in the correct order and then
in any order)
- Call some students to say the words out loud and correct
their mistakes (if any)
2 Listen and point Colour (5’):
- Have students look at the book and listen to the
expression: “Look !A lemon, And a lion, And a lollipop!
Hurrah”,
- Have students point to the objects when they hear
- Have students listen and repeat the words for several
times
