OBJECTIVES

1 Knowledge: By the end of this lesson, Students will be able to Introduce their

names and spell their names

* Language focus:

- Sentence Pattern: How do you spell your name?

- Vocab: The Alphabet

2 Skills: - Develop Ss speaking and listening skills

3 Attitude: - Help Ss to be more confident to communicate in English with others.

1 Teacher’s: computer, projector, voting enjoy

2 Students’: Books, notebooks, workbooks.

- Communicative approach

Techniques: + Game:

+ Ask and answer

+ Work individually, in pairs/ groups

IV PROCEDURE

1.Organization:

- Greetings: T – Ss greet each other.

- Checking attendance: Who’s absent today? Ss: Answer

2.Warm up ( 4’)

- Ask Ss to ask and answer about their name and read again the letter.

- Comment

- Lead in the new lesson: Unit 2- Lesson 2(1.2.3)

3 New lesson ( 30’)

*Activity 1 (10’)

1.Look , listen and repeat

- Have Ss open the book page 14 and identify

the characters in the pictures

- Set the scene: you are going to hear 2

conversations between Nam and Linda.

- Play the recording all the way through for Ss

to listen while they are reading the dialogue

- Play the recording again for Ss to repeat each

line of the dialogue a few times

Ss: work in pairs

- Ask the groups to repeat the dialogue and

swap

- Have Ss practice the dialogue in pairs

- Call on some pairs to perform, others

comment

- Correct the mistakes

* Activity 2 (10’)

2.Point and say.

- Have Ss look at the speech bubbles on page

14

- Ask them to identify the characters in

pictures

* Vocabulary:

- Ask Ss to guess and say the lines in

the bubbles

-Ask Ss to fill the bubbles and repeat the step

- Ask the whole class to repeat the phrase
