I Aim and Objectives

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

- Recognize and pronounce the letter Cc /si:/ and its sound/c/ correctly.

- Understand, recognize and say the three Ccwords.

- Write the letter Cc.

New words: cat, carrot, clock

III Reourcess : Pupil’s book, CD, phonics cards , photocopies of pages from

story books

I Warm up: ( 5’)

II New lesson

1.Listen, point and repeat.Colour

-*Ss’books closed (5’)

- Point to the cat phonics card and say: /c/

+ Then say: /c/ - cat

+ Put the card up on the board

+ do action and say: /c/ , cat

+ Follow the same procedure with the words

apple, alligator

- Use a card with letter Cc to introduce to the

read the words out loud and ask Ss to repeat

- Use gestures to help Ss to understand the

meanings of the three words

- check Ss’ understanding: T say the words

- call some Ss to say the words out loud and

correct their mistakes

- Point to and the sound of the letter Cc, cat,

carrot, clock.

+ play the CD

- Ask Ss to colour in the letters Cc

2.Listen and point Choose (Track 15): Read

the words with “Please!” (10’)

- Have students look at the book and listen to

the words: a pen, a panda, a parrot

- Have students listen and repeat the words for

several times

- Ask the students to look at the pairs of

pictures on the side

- Choose the correct one for each corresponding

item in the picture

- Go around the classroom asking the students

to name the item they are matching

3 Chant and show! (8’)

Ss repeat both sounds

- Listen, point to and repeat the words

- Use the phonics cards on the board and have

students sing the chant with pen Do the same

with panda and parrot.

- The whole class sings the whole chant

in air with their gingers
