REVIEW 3 (Ii, Jj, Kk, Ll, Mm)

I OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to

consolidate the sound of the letters Ii, Jj, Kk, Ll and Mm and the

corresponding words

* Handicapped - Hải Vân (1B) can repeat from letter Ii to letter Mm and words correctly with teacher’s help.

1 Language focus:

- Vocabulary (revision): ink, igloo, iguana, insect

jam, jelly, juice, jacket kite, kitten, koala, kangaroo lemon, lion, lollipop, lamp moon, mouse, milk, monkey

2 Skill: Reading, listening, speaking, writing

II TEACHING AIDS:

1 Teacher: students’ book, CD, phonic cards, paper sheets

2 Student: Activity book, crayons/colour pencils

III METHODS: T.P.R; P W P; games;

IV PROCEDURE:

1 Organization (1’):

- Greet Ps

- Check Ps’ attendance

2 Warm up( 4’):

- Prepare some phonics cards from Units 9-13

- Hand out the cards to various students

- Teacher say out the sound, the students holding the cards with that sound come to give the cards to the teacher

3 Revision & Practice (24’):

- Explain the activity.

- Ask the students to name the pictures and the

corresponding sounds

- The students circle the letters or the sound in

each picture

- Go around the classroom to provide any

necessary help, ask individual students to say

out the sound or the item

and sound correctly with teacher’s help.

Activity 2 (5’):

- Explain the activity

- Ask the students to draw lines from the big

letters that correspond to the pictures to the

small letter

- Go around the classroom to provide any

necessary help, ask individual students to say

out the sound or the item

letters and words then match correctly with

teacher’s help.

Activity 3 (8’):

- Explain the activity

- Ask the students to name the items

- The students circle the ones that begin with the

same sound

- Go around the classroom providing any

necessary help

words correctly with teacher’s help.

Activity 4 (5’):

- Explain the activity

- Have students say the names of the items

- Play the CD

- The students listen and circle the correct

picture, A or B

corresponding words

* Handicapped - Hải Vân (1B) can listen, read and say from letter Hh to letter Mm and words correctly with teacher’s help.

1 Language focus:

- Vocabulary (revision): - hat, hen, hippo, horse

- ink, igloo, iguana, insect

- jam, jelly, juice, jacket

- kite, kitten, koala, kangaroo

- lemon, lion, lollipop, lamp

- moon, mouse, milk, monkey

2 Skill: Reading, listening, speaking, writing

3 Attitude: teach Ps to do the trading and colouring carefully.

2 Student: Pupil book

Play some chants from units 8-13

Encourage students to sing along and do the corresponding action

3 Revision & Practice (27’):

Activity 1 : Hangman ( 7’ )
