UNIT 1- MY FRIENDS Lesson 1: Getting started + Listen and Read A.The aims of the lesson

1 Knowledges

+ The aims: Describe the groups of friends and their favorite activities

Reading for details a conversation and answer the questions

Tell about student’s friend with the information as: appearance and character

+ Vocabulary: seem, a next door neighbor, look like

+ Grammar: - Present simple to talk about general truths (Review)

- Simple past tense (Review)

- What do / does + S + look like?

- S + is / looks + adj (appearance)

- S + be (not) + adj + enough +to inf + O

Write activities, interesting places which ss know or are on holiday

2 Skills : - Practice the comprehension reading skill, listening skill.

3 Attitude: Educating ss to learn hard and to be friendly

- T introduces: Hoa is from Hue Now she lives

in Hanoi with her uncle and aunt She is talking

You listen to the tape and answer this

question: Who does Hoa talk about about?

- After Ss listen, T introduces some structures

-Vocabulary: blond, slim, straight, curly, bold, fair

Write activities, interesting places which ss know or are on holiday

3 Attitude: Help ss to have good consciousness in order to describe someone and

complete the dialogue Educate ss to learn hard and to be friendly

others have to guess who she / he is

- By the end of the lesson ss will be able to know more about Ba’s friends

Talk about their friends (using the adjectives they have just learnt to describe).

+ Vocabulary: - character, orphanage, sense of humor, tell jokes, sociable reserved ,

outgoing, affect

2 Skills : Listening, reading

3 Attitude: Help ss to have good consciousness in order to read for specific

information
