HƯỚNG DẪN CÁCH HỌC TIẾNG ANH 6 A.The aims of the lesson

1 Knowledges

+ The aims: Introducing the subject and the method of learning English 6

- Help Ss have general knowledge of the subject and know how to study EL 6 Ss know the contents of the book “ Tieng Anh 6”

- By the end of this lesson, Ss will able to understand Sth about EL 6, know how to learn English effectively, know the content of “Tieng Anh 6”

+ Vocabulary: class language

+ Structure: Exclamations

2 Skills : - Practice listening, speaking, reading, writing.

3 Attitude: - Help ss to have good consciousness in order to learn the method of

learning English

B Preparations

1.Teacher : posters, computer, speaker.

2 Students: Unit 1 Period 1 Getting started, listen and read.

C Methods: - Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work

- Some techniques can be used: Chatting, Comprehension questions, LN

D Procedure :

I Organization: ( 1 minute)

- Greeting: Good morning!

- Who’s absent today?

II Warm up : ( 3’)Chatting

- How are you today?

- How many students are there in your class?

- Who is the monitor?

- Who is your form teacher?

- Do you like learning English ?

- Have you ever been to England ?

- Do you know the shape of England on the map? ( England is like the rabbit )

- Do you know the area of England ? ( 244.100 sq km )

- Do you know the capital of E ? ( London )

III New lesson :

1 Introducing the subject of English (5’ )

- Do you know about position and role of E in the

world?

- Why do you learn E ?

2.The textbook Tiếng Anh 6 :( 10’ )

- How many units are there in English book?

- How many sections are there in each unit ?

- How many lessons in each unit

- At the end of each unit we can find “ Remember”

It summaries the main structures and new words in

each unit

- At the end of two or three units, we can find “

Grammar Practice” and Glossary”( bảng chú giải từ )

- T asks Ss to open their books

3 T introduces to Ss some ways of learning EL.

3.1 Skill: 4 skills

- Speaking: speak a sentence, a new word, a

phrase, a topic with classmates ,

teacher, Beside speaking English in class ,

SS can communicate by English etc

- Listening: Listen a dialogue , a paragraph

to know or find out information and fill in

blanks, or answer questions etc

- Reading: Read a text or a dialogue then

answer qts with information in text or

dialogue , or do T/F , matching By reading

SS can understand the content of a text or a

dialogue etc

- Writing : SS can write a sentence, a

paragraph , a story etc

3.2 Learn vocabulary, grammar structures

+ Learn vocab

- SS should both read words in English and

write them in papers

English is international language and it is used widely in the world

We learn E to know the world of English and to join

in the world of the new language

Learning E to know the culture of many countries which use E, to take shape and develop the skills of learning language

- Ss open the book There are 16 units

3 (A, B, C ) From 5 to 6 lessons

- Listen and give ideas

- Take notes ( Ss discuss in pairs to decide some best ways of learning El.)

- Listen and copy down

- Copy down on the notebook ( May be in Vietnamese)

- Write one or two example sentences with each

new word in or to remember how to use the

word in the right way

- Write each word and its use on the small piece

of paper and stick it somewhere in house so as

to learn it at any time

- Should learn 6 words a day and usually revise

them

(Language learners should try different ways of

learning words so as to find out the best way for

themselves)

- Learn them by heart and practice frequently by
