- “How many” được dùng trước danh từ đếm được (countable noun) ở số nhiều như: eggs, books, tables, …
HOW MANY + countable noun + do/does + S + Vbare ?
Ví dụ: How many eggs do you want ? - I want four eggs
How many pens does she have? - She has two pens
- “How much” được dùng trước danh từ không đếm được (uncountable noun) như: milk, water , money , butter, rice, meat, beef, bread …
HOW MUCH + uncountable noun + do/does + S + Vbare ?
Ví dụ: How much tea do you have? - I have some tea
How much rice does she want ? - She wants five kilos of rice
- Để hỏi GIÁ TIỀN của một hoặc nhiều món hàng , ta dùng cấu trúc:
HOW MUCH + is/are + S? ( Giá bao nhiêu) Trả lời: It is + giá tiền/ They are + giá tiền
Ví dụ: How much is this shirt? - It’s 50 000 Dong
How much is a bottle of cooking oil? - It’s 35 000 Dong
How much are those books? - They are 10 000 Dong
