UNIT 7: TELEVISION Duration: 7 periods

I OBJECTIVES:

1 Knowledge:

a Vocabulary: - TV programs, TV channels, adjectives about the cartoon

characters and TV programs, TV channels

b Grammar: - Conjunctions (but, and, because …) and question words (where, who, why…)

c Pronunciation: Sound /ө / and / ð/

2 Competencies:

- Students work in pairs, in groups and individually to develop the linguistic competence and communicative competence using the lexical items related to the topic

‘Television’

3 Qualities: Students will be more aware of spending time watching TV, and

choosing the suitable TV programs for themselves

- Textbooks, computer accessed to the Internet, projector (TV).

PERIOD: 55 LESSON 1: GETTING STARTED

* Warm up

Aim: To attract Ss’ attention to the lesson and lead in the lesson

* Questions

- What are you doing to do tonight/tomorrow/ on the weekend?

- Do you like watching TV?

- What programs do you like?

- Do you like watching cartoon: “Tome and jerry”
