Trang 1Dear Patrik,
How are you doing? I am doing quite well here and I hope that you’re, too Today, my teacher asked us to write you a letter telling you about one of our most unforgettable memories
Well, I guess what I’m going to tell you is quite embarrassing but ok, it’s so funny, too Last month, Ha and I went to see
“Fast and Furious 8”, a blockbuster action movie I guess I have told you that I am kind of startled one, it means I am easy to get startled when there’s a sudden loud noise The story went like this We came to the cinema a little bit late, as a result we had
to rush to our seat I put the drink on the right and when I was going to sit down, there was a big unnoticed motor noise from the screen
Of course, I got shocked, startled and the popcorn on my hand fell in the air Could you imagine what happened?
Unfortunately, it didn’t fall on me and Ha but on me and
another girl on my left I felt really sorry, guilty and
embarrassed about what happened to that girl Ha helped me to clean up a little bit, but she couldn’t help laughing at my face OMG It was bad, but I still guess it is better that
popcorn fell, not the water :D Ok, That’s it!!! Now your turn, can you tell me one of your most memorable past experiences Wish all the best for you, Looking forward to hearing from you soon, Sincerely
Huong Fiona,

Dear Hoa,
How have you been doing? I am writing to tell you about my last summer vacation It was one of my most memorable past experiences
My grandparents live in a small village in the countryside
There is a river near their house where I often go swimming every afternoon when I spend my summer vacation with them One day I was swimming with some of my friends when I met a strong current of water I was not strong enough to continue to swim so I started to sink At that time I thought I was going to drown Luckily, some of our neighbours passed by, caught the sight and jumped into the river to rescue me
Now I understand how precious life is The experience taught
me to appreciate my life What about you? Have you got any memorable experiences? Write to me soon and tell me all your news
Love, An

How have you been doing? I am writing to tell you about my most embarrassing experience happening when I was in grade 10
Trang 3One morning, my alarm clock didn’t ring I had forgotten to wind it up and I stayed up very late the night before I got up late at 6:45 and school began at 7:00 I quickly washed my face, cleaned my teeth and hurried to school When I arrived, other students had already gone into class I was very nervous and finally entered the classroom At that time, the students looked
at me and began to laugh loudly I couldn’t understand why! Suddenly I looked down and understood I was wearing my T-shirt, not the white shirt
From then on, I never stay up late and always set my alarm
clock before going to bed The experience taught me to be more careful What about you? Have you got any memorable
experiences? Write to me soon and tell me all your news

Mid-Autumn Festival
In Vietnam, the Mid-Autumn Festival or “Tet Trung Thu” is one of the most popular family holidays It is held on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month Vietnamese families plan their
activities around their children on this special day Parents buy lanterns for their children so that they can participate in a
candle-lit lantern procession at dawn Lanterns represent
brightness while the procession symbolizes success in school Vietnamese markets sell a variety of lanterns, but the most
popular children’s lantern is the star lantern Other children’s activities include arts and crafts in which children make face masks and lanterns
Children also perform traditional Vietnamese dances Unicorn dancers are also very popular in Mid- Autumn festivals
Teachers’ Day
On November 20th every year, all schools throughout our
country celebrate Teachers’ Day to honour the teachers for their devotion to the teaching career It is a good time for students to
Trang 5show their love, respect and gratitude towards their teachers Students try to work hard to get good marks to make their
teachers happy On the morning of November 20th, all students are at school to attend the celebration and enjoy the music
performance After that, they offer flowers and small gifts to express their gratitude to teachers They also visit their old
teachers in the afternoon I really enjoy Teachers’ Day because this is the opportunity for us to express our sincere thanks to those who have taught us
Mid- Autumn Festival
In Vietnam, there are many amazing festivals, and my most favorite one is the Mid- Autumn Festival The festival takes place on the 15th of August in Lunar year, when the brightest full moon of the year appears At that time, the weather is just about perfect: it is neither too hot nor too cold, which is well- suited for outdoor activities As soon as the moon rises, streets are filled with people talking and laughing happily Children carry their beautiful lanterns, sing aloud, play games and enjoy the lion dancing Mid- Autumn Festival is also known as the united festival when all members of the family come back
home, watching the full moon, eating moon cakes, drinking tea and enjoying the peace and happiness of the family atmosphere
To sum up, I love the Mid-Autumn Festival very much and
always look forward to it
