IV Teaching procedure:

1 Warm up (4’):

- Have sts revise the song: ABC song

2 New lesson (30’):

Activity 1: Read and Match

- Have sts look at part 4 and discuss the task of reading

- Sts read the sentences in silence

- T guides sts do the task

- Sts read and do the task in individuals

- Get sts swap the answers with the partner

- Call some sts to give the answers

- T checks the answers

- Divide sts into two groups to read the dialogues

Activity 2: Read and complete

- Tell ss that they are going to read and fill the gaps with given

- Ss read the given words in chorus

IV Teaching procedure:

1 Warm up (4’):

- Have sts sing the song: How are you?

2 New lesson (30’):

Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat

- Have sts look at pictures in part 1 to identify the people

and guess situation

- Tell sts that they are going to practice introduce someone

- Have sts read the text in bubbles in silence

- Explain some new word: this

- Play the recording 1st time for sts listen and point under lines

- Play the recording again for sts listen and repeat in chorus

- Sts practice the dialogue in groups and pairs

- T Calls on some pairs to check

Activity 2 : Point and say

- Ask Ss to look at the pictures in part 2 (P18)

- Have sts read the name of people and elicit the words to fill the

gaps

- Get Ss work in pairs to introduce two people in the class, one

near and one far

- Call some pairs speak aloud

- Check Ss’ pronunciation

- Play CD three times for sts listen and do the task

- Sts swap the answers with a partner

- Call some sts to give their answers

- Play the recording again for sts listen and check the answers

Activity 2: Look and write

- Ask Ss to look at the pictures in part 5 (P19) and identify the

characters

- Have sts review the structure in groups:

- Call one group demonstrate the task front of class

- Have sts read the text and fill the gaps

- Get sts exchange the answer with the parrtner

- Call some pairs to read aloud, T gives feedback

- Have Sts read the dialogues again

- Ss read the lyrics

- Play the CD first time for ss listen and point under lines

- Play the Cd again, pausing at each line for sts sing along

- Divide sts into three groups to sing the song Each group sing
