I Điều kiện, hoàn cảnh tạo ra chuyên đề

Ngày nay xu hướng hội nhập quốc tế trong nhiều lĩnh vực trong đó phải kể cả đến lĩnh vực giáo dục

đã đưa tiếng Anh lên một vị trí hết sức quan trọng Tiếng Anh là công cụ giao tiếp là chìa khoá dẫn đến kho tàng nhân loại Xác định được tầm quan trọng của môn học này, kể từ năm học 2014- 2015

Bộ GD- ĐT ra quyết định đưa Tiếng Anh là một trong ba môn thi bắt buộc với tất cả học sinh THPT

Vì vậy việc học tiếng Anh của học sinh THPT được học sinh, phụ huynh học sinh, giáo viên ngành giáo dục và cả nước đặc biệt quan tâm Tiếng Anh trở thành một trong các môn chính yếu trong chương trình học của học sinh

Như vậy hiện nay tất cả học sinh trong cả nước đều tham gia môn thi Tiếng Anh THPT Một điểm mới trong ba năm học trở lại đây đó là Bộ GD-ĐT gộp hai kỳ thi thành một và tất cả học sinh đều phải làm bài thi chung đó là bài thi tốt nghiệp THPT Đặc biệt trong năm học 2020-2021, một số trường tổ chức bài thi năng lực thì Tiếng Anh là môn học bắt buộc đối với các em học sinh Với đặc thù môn học, Tiếng Anh đòi hỏi học sinh phải đảm bảo một lượng kiến thức ngữ pháp khá rộng và sâu mới có thể giải quyết được bài tập “Stress” là một chuyên đề mà phần lớn học sinh thấy thực sự khó học, khó hiểu và gặp nhiều lúng túng khi giải quyết vấn đề Tuy nhiên tính ứng dụng của “stress” trong giao tiếp lại rất cao và đạt hiệu quả vì vậy mà “stress” luôn được ra trong các đề thi

Là một giáo viên nhiều năm dạy lớp 12 và ôn thi cho các em trong kỳ thi tốt nghiệp THPT tôi thấy mảng “stress” luôn là một phần gây khó khăn cho học sinh Các em dù là thi ban KHXH hay KHTN thì gặp phần này luôn nản chí Bởi vì nó rất nhiều, phức tạp, nhiều trường hợp đặc biệt Để làm tốt phần trọng âm học sinh ngoài nắm bắt quy luật thì loại từ, phát âm là phần đóng vai trò cực kỳ quan trọng đối với học sinh Trong khi đó, trong cấu trúc đề thi năm nào Bộ GD-ĐT luôn có phần “Stress”

trong bài thi Hơn nữa, “Stress” có công năng sử dụng khá nhiều trong cuộc sống, đặc biệt trong tiếng Anh giao tiếp, một kỹ năng thiết yếu cho các em sau này bước vào cuộc sống, làm việc

Vì những lý do trên, nên bản thân tôi ấp ủ trong nhiều nay năm luôn suy nghĩ tìm ra phương pháp làm sao cho các em dễ tiếp cận, hiểu bài để áp dụng làm bài tập tốt hơn, chuẩn bị cho kỳ thi tốt nghiệp THPT để đạt kết quả cao hơn

II Mô tả giải pháp:

1 Hiện trạng

“Stress” đóng một vai trò rất quan trọng trong cách phát âm hằng ngày Tuy nhiên theo đặc thù ngôn ngữ tiếng Việt học sinh khi đọc thường không có trọng âm của từ, của câu Với những người học tiếng Anh như một ngôn ngữ thứ hai thì việc tiếp xúc và học các trọng âm của từ thường gặp nhiều khó khăn vì số lượng các từ lớn và đôi khi cũng gây hiểu lầm vì không phải lúc cũng đúng với quy luật Hơn nữa một từ còn có thể có trọng âm rất lạ Phần lớn học sinh không nhớ được cách học cho nên học sinh thường sai phần trọng âm khi làm bài kiểm tra, bài thi, thường xuyên quên và nhầm lẫn giữa các từ với nhau.Các em tâm sự có học nhưng không nhớ được trọng âm của nhiều từ

2 Giải pháp

Trước hết tôi xin đưa ra cách học quy tắc đánh trọng âm Các em học sinh cần nắm rõ quy luật thì mới có thể làm bài tốt Tôi xin đề xuất các cách học như sau

a Thuộc 14 quy tắc đánh trọng âm gồm:

QUY TẮC 1:

Động từ có 2 âm tiết -> trọng âm rơi vào âm tiết thứ 2

Ex: be'gin, be'come, for'get, en'joy, dis'cover, re'lax, de'ny, re'veal,…

Ngoại lệ: 'answer, 'enter, 'happen, 'offer, 'open…

QUY TẮC 2:

Danh từ có 2 âm tiết -> trọng âm rơi vào âm tiết thứ 1

Ex: 'children, 'hobby, 'habit, 'labour, 'trouble, 'standard…

Ngoại lệ: ad'vice, ma'chine, mis'take…

QUY TẮC 3:

Tính từ có 2 âm tiết -> trọng âm rơi vào âm tiết thứ 1

Ex: 'basic, 'busy, 'handsome, 'lucky, 'pretty, 'silly…

Ngoại lệ: a'lone, a'mazed, …

QUY TẮC 4:

Động từ ghép -> trọng âm rơi vào âm tiết thứ 2

Ex: be'come,

QUY TẮC 5:

Trọng âm rơi vào chính các vần sau: sist, cur, vert, test, tain, tract, vent, self

Ex: e'vent, sub'tract, pro'test, in'sist, main'tain, my'self, him'self …

QUY TẮC 6:

Với những hậu tố sau thì trọng âm rơi vào chính âm tiết chứa nó: -ee, - eer, -ese, -ique, -esque, -ain

Ex: ag'ree, volun'teer, Vietna'mese, re'tain, main'tain, u'nique, pictu'resque, engi'neer…

Ngoại lệ: com'mittee, 'coffee, em'ployee…

QUY TẮC 7:

Các từ có hậu tố là –ic, -ish, -ical, -sion, -tion, -ance, -ence, -idle, -ious, -iar, ience, -id, -eous, -acy, -ian, -ity -> trọng âm rơi vào âm tiết liền trước

Ex: eco'nomic, 'foolish, 'entrance, e'normous …

QUY TẮC 8:

Hầu như các tiền tố không nhận trọng âm

Ex: dis'cover, re'ly, re'ply, re'move, des'troy, re'write, im'possible, ex'pert, re'cord, …

Ngoại lệ: 'underpass, 'underlay…

QUY TẮC 9:

Danh từ ghép -> trọng âm rơi vào âm tiết thứ 1

Ex: 'birthday, 'airport, 'bookshop, 'gateway, 'guidebook, 'filmmaker,…

QUY TẮC 10:

Tính từ ghép -> trọng âm rơi vào âm tiết thứ 1

Ex: 'airsick, 'homesick, 'carsick, 'airtight, 'praiseworthy, 'trustworth, 'waterproof, …

Ngoại lệ: duty-'free, snow-'white …

QUY TẮC 11:

Các tính từ ghép có thành phần đầu tiên là tính từ hoặc trạng từ, thành phần thứ hai tận cùng là –ed

-> trọng âm chính rơi vào thành phần thứ 2

Ex: ,bad-'tempered, ,short-'sighted, ,ill-'treated, ,well-'done, well-'known…

QUY TẮC 12:

Khi thêm các hậu tố sau thì trọng âm chính của từ không thay đổi

-ment, -ship, -ness, -er/or, -hood, -ing, -en, -ful, -able, -ous, -less

Ex:

· ag'ree – ag'reement

· 'meaning – 'meaningless

· re'ly – re'liable

· 'poison – 'poisonous

· 'happy – 'happiness

· re'lation – re'lationship

· 'neighbour – 'neighbourhood

· ex'cite - ex'citing

…

QUY TẮC 13:

Những từ có tận cùng là: –graphy, -ate, –gy, -cy, -ity, -phy, -al -> trọng âm rơi vào âm tiết thứ 3 từ

dưới lên

Ex: eco'nomical, de'moracy, tech'nology, ge'ography, pho'tography, in'vestigate, im'mediate, QUY TẮC 14

Trọng âm không bao giờ rơi vào tiền tố như: im, un, inter, dis, in, under, in …

Ex: im’patient; dis’like; unat’tended; under’stand …………

b Trong quá trình học tập học giáo viên chú ý dạy phát âm 1 từ chuẩn ngay từ đầu Nhắc nhở học

sinh thường xuyên ôn lại cách phát âm, loại từ đề làm bài tập trọng âm hiệu quả hơn Ví dụ khi ta học từ “determine” thì bản thân mình phải học phiên âm, loại từ để từ đó biết âm mạnh, âm yếu, âm đơn, âm đôi để đánh trọng âm hiều quả

Example 1 : determine /dɪˈtɜːmɪn/ trọng âm rơi vào âm số 2 vì /ɜː/ là âm mạnh nhất

Example 2: argument /ˈɑːɡjumənt/ trọng âm rơi vào âm số 1 vì /ɑː/ là âm mạnh nhất

c Học sinh trong quá trình học cần chú ý tới từ gốc Đây là một phần quan trọng khi các em làm bài

trọng âm Biết từ gốc giúp các em nắm rõ hơn quy tắc đánh trọng âm với rất nhiều từ

Example: từ “habit” /ˈhæbɪt/ là từ gốc và trọng âm rơi vào âm tiết 1 /hæ/

-khi cấu tạo sang động từ là “inhabit” /ɪnˈhæbɪt/trọng âm vẫn rơi vào /hæ/

III Liệt kê các từ có trọng âm từ 2 âm tiết trở lên từ unit 1 tới unit 3 chương trình SGK 12 thí điểm

- Trong quá trình giảng dạy 3 bài đầu tiên của SGK 12, tôi có một phần ôn tập lại trọng âm cho HS bằng cách liệt kê cho HS vận dụng thực hành
