II Procedures

*Warm up: Review capital letters.

Step 1: Teacher says a lot of vocabularies.

Step 2: Pupils repeat after teacher.

Step 3: Pupils do action and say aloud.

B Practice

2 Find and circle

Step 1: Tell pupils to look at page 66.

Step 2: Pupils complete the activity.

Step 3: Check the answers.

C Production

3 Say and write

Step 1: Tell pupils to look at activity 2 on page 66.

Step 2: Model the activity.

Step 3: Pupils complete the activity.

D Application

- Learn vocabularies by heart

UNIT 10: MY FOOD

Lesson 1

I Objectives

- By the end of this unit, pupils can identify food

- Pupils can recognize English sounds and spoken words

- Pupil can identify colours

II Procedures

*Warm up: Review family members.

A Presentation

1 Teaching vocabulary

Step 1: Teacher teaches vocabulary: banana, biscuit, carrot, orange, sandwich, sweet

and tomato

Step 2: Write them on the board and read aloud the words.

Step 3: Pupils copy down into their notebooks and repeat after the teacher

Step 4: Ask a few pupils to read aloud.

B Practice

2 Listen and say

Step 1: Tell pupils that they are going to learn the words for more food items in

English

Step 2: Play CD Pause after each word so pupils can point to the food in their books Step 3: Play CD again Pupils repeat the word chorally and individually.

C Production

3 Listen and find

Step 1: Say the words at random, e.g banana, biscuit, carrot, orange, sandwich, sweet

and tomato

Step 2: Check pupils are pointing to the correct food in their books.
