UNIT 8: MY BODY

Lesson 4

I Objectives

- By the end of this unit, pupils can describe one’s body, count from 1 to 10

- Pupils can develop fine motor control

II Procedures

*Warm up: Review the words for the body.

A Presentation

1 Count

Step 1: Tell pupils to look at page 49 in their books

Step 2: Ask questions about the picture.

Step 3: Ask How many feet? How many toes? for pupils respond.

B Practice

2 Sing

Step 1: Play the CD Tell pupils to listen to the song.

Step 2: Play the CD again and pause after each line Sing the line and tell pupils to

repeat after teacher

Step 3: Play CD again and ask pupils to sing the song.

C Production

3 Sing and do

Step 1: Point to their toes, feet, and nose at the appropriate points in the song Step 2: Sing the song

Step 3: Repeat with other pupils at the front.

D Application

Lesson 5

I Objectives

- By the end of this unit, pupils can say, recognize, and write the letter Ss and Tt

- Pupils can recognize and say the sound /s/ and /t/

- Pupils can develop fine motor control

II Procedures

*Warm up: Review the sounds and forms of letters A, B, J and P.

A Presentation

1 Learn the letter

Step 1: Say seesaw, sing, Tess and toes Pupils repeat the words.

Step 2: Write them on the board and read aloud the words

Step 3: Have pupils repeat the letter word and letter sound.

Step 4: Tell pupils to practice.

B Practice

2 Sing

Step 1: Play the CD Tell pupils to listen to the song.

Step 2: Play the CD again and pause after each line Sing the line and tell pupils to

repeat after teacher

Step 3: Play CD again and ask pupils to sing the song.

C Production

3 Find

Step 1: Tell pupils to find the letter s, t in the alphabet.

Step 2: Tell pupils to look at the main picture on page 50.
