1 Teaching vocabulary
Step 1: Teacher teaches vocabulary: baby, brother, dad, grandma, grandpa, mum,
sister
Step 2: Write them on the board and read aloud the words.
Step 3: Pupils copy down into their notebooks and repeat after the teacher
Step 4: Ask a few pupils to read aloud.

2 Listen and say
Step 1: Tell pupils that they are going to learn the words for the members of the
family
Step 2: Play CD, holding up the flashcard for each family member as the name is
said
Step 3: Play CD again Pupils repeat the word chorally and individually.

Step 1: Tell pupils to look at the picture on pages 52 and 53.
Step 2: Play CD Pause after each phrase.
