During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh reminded officials and Partymembers that: “An united nation, a Party and every human being, that yesterday wasgreat with great achievements does not mean that everybody still loves and praisestomorrow if their hearts are no longer pure, if they fall into individualism".Individualism is the "internal" enemy of the communists, so he asks "we must always
be alert and determined to consistently prevent and fight" In order to fight againstindividualism successfully, each official and Party member must first grasp andunderstand the origin, nature and harms of individualism which can only berealized through the Party's propaganda and education Therefore, in the process ofleading the revolution, our Party, leaded by President Ho Chi Minh, alwaysconsidered propaganda as one of the important parts of the work of ideology, aleading constituent element of the Party's leadership over society
However, at present, propaganda activities of the Party in general and propagandaagainst individualism among officials and Party members in particular still havelimitations and issues that are difficult to solve Therefore, finding solutions tostrengthen propaganda against individualism among officials and Party membersbased on Ho Chi Minh’s ideology in Vietnam now has important implications, both in
terms of theory and practice Therefore, the author has chosen the issue: Propaganda against individualism among officials and Party members based on Ho Chi Minh’s ideology in Vietnam today as a research topic for a doctoral thesis.
2 Research purposes and tasks

On the basis of analyzing and clarifying theoretical and practical issues on propagandaagainst individualism among officials and party members based on Ho Chi Minh’sideology, the thesis aims to propose viewpoints and solutions to strengthen propagandaagainst individualism among officials and Party members based on Ho Chi Minh’sideology in Vietnam in the coming time
- To propose viewpoints and solutions to promote propaganda against individualismamong officials and Party members based on Ho Chi Minh’s ideology in Vietnam today

in a sufficient, profound, scientific and systematic way about the constituents ofpropaganda activities from the perspective of scientific work of ideology

In summary, from the main points of the research works related to the thesis,
some comments can be drawn as follows:
- There have not any workswhich presented systematically and fully coretheoretical values based on Ho Chi Minh's ideologyon individualism There areworks that only address manifestation and harm but not the origin of individualism.There are works mentioning the origin, expression, harm that has not yet drawn thedefinition of individualism (especially the definition of individualism in Ho Chi Minh
‘s ideology)
- While unifying the viewpointsof anti-individualism is one of the regular andimportant tasks for a revolutionary Party, which helps propose many solutions to anti-individualism, but most of the works only propose anti-individualism solutions inspecific units and localities, which is difficult to widely deploy
- All research works on propaganda against individualism have not fullymentioned the constituent elements of propaganda such as subjects, content, form,methods and means of propaganda against individualism; The issue of anti-individualism has only been raised as one of the measures to combat individualismbut it has not really been studied in the scientific and ideological perspective in acomplete and systematic manner
