1 Class organization (1 minute)
2 Check – up (5 minutes) - Some students revise connectors
- Some students revise passive voice
3 New lesson (35 minutes)
1 Before you read
- Read out the words and phrases then check their meanings
- Work in pairs, ask and answer the questions
+ This kind of sports is called water polo It is often played
in a pool Players are of tow teams They use their hands to
pass the ball, throw the ball and score the goals
- Pay attention to new words and phrases
Before you read
- Instructs Ss to read the words and phrases in the glossary
- Introduces some new words and phrases
2 While you read
- Listen to the tape and read the passage for the first time
Task 1
- Work individually skim the passage, finish task 1 then
compare the answer with their partners:
1 e 2 c 3 a 4 b 5 d
While you read
- Plays the tape, asks Ss to listen to the tape while reading
- Asks Ss to read out the words and their definitions
- Calls some of the Ss to do task 1
