Eg:

(non- defining clause)

* Defining relative clause: được sử dụng để xác định danh từ đứng trước

nó, nếu không có mệnh đề này thì người đọc/người nghe không biết

người viết/ nói đề cập đến người/ vật nào.

* Non- defining relative clause: được sử dụng để cung cấp thêm

cho danh từ đứng trước nó, trong văn viết nó được tách khỏi các

thành phần khác trong câu b ằng dấu phẩy.

* We can’t use “that” in non- defining relative clause

* We can’t leave “who/which”

in non- defining relative clause

Underline the relative clause in the sentence Then add commas to separate the non – defining relative clause from the rest of the sentence.
