8 Brief information of the new findings of the thesis
8.1 New contributions to academic and theories
On the basis of generalisation of the concepts of the Party's leadership, components and methodology of the Party's leadership, the concepts of climate change and climate change mitigation, the thesis contributes to academic by conceptualising Party management boards in the Mekong Delta provinces and cities lead climate change mitigation, identifies the components and the methods
of the leadership of the Party management boards in the Mekong Delta provinces and cities
8.2 New findings from research and surveys
The thesis author surveys and assesses the reality of leading climate change mitigation of the Party management boards in the Mekong Delta provinces and cities in six components and seven methods of leading The errors
in leading climate change mitigation of the Party management boards result from many reasons, in which the main reason is the shallow awareness of the leaders of the Party management boards of provinces and cities about the significance of addressing climate change issues
On the basis of reasons identification, the thesis suggests the primary solutions to enhance the leadership of the Party management boards of the Mekong Delta provinces and cities to 2030, which are: 1) Enhancing the awareness and responsibilities of the Party management boards in provinces and cities, of the Party staffs and members about climate change mitigation 2) Improvingthe quality of performance of the Party managementboards in provinces and cities, and their consultant agencies and supporting offices 3) Continuing to renovate some components and methods of Party's leadership in climate change mitigation.4) Leadingto make full use of the roles of governanceof authoritiesat all levels 5) Enhancing the cooperation between the Party management boards in the Mekong Delta provinces and cities in leading climate change mitigation 6) Enhancing inspection, monitoring, and error checking in the practice of climate changemitigation
