7 Động từ chỉ tri giác:
To see/to watch/ to hear/ smell /feel/notice + O + V + sth (hành động chứng kiến từ đầu
đến cuối)
Ex: I hear the telephone ring.
Ex:I see her sing.
Ex: I saw him leave the house
see/hear/watch/smell /feel/notice + O + Ving + sth (hành động không chứng kiến trọn vẹn mà chỉ nhất thời) (Sự tiếp diễn của hành động)
9 Bốn động từ đặc biệt
Đó là những động từ mà ngữ nghĩa của chúng sẽ đổi khác hoàn toàn khi tân ngữ sau nó là
một động từ nguyên thể hoặc V- ing.
1) Stop to do smt: dừng lại để làm gì
2) Stop doing smt: dừng làm việc gì
3) Remember to do smt: Nhớ sẽ phải làm gì
Ex: I remember to send a letter at the post office tomorow morning.
4) Remember doing smt: Nhớ là đã làm gì
Ex: I remember locking the door before leaving, but now I can't find the key.
Đặc biệt nó thờng đợc dùng với mẫu câu: S + still remember + V-ing : Vẫn còn nhớ là
đã
Ex: I still remember buying the first motorbike
5) Forget to do smt: quên sẽ phải làm gì
Ex: I forgot to pickup my child after school
6) Forget doing smt: Quên đã không làm gì
Đặc biệt nó thờng đợc dùng với mẫu câu S + will never forget + V-ing: sẽ không bao giờ quên đợc là đã .
Ex: She will never forget meeting the Queen.
7) Regret to do smt: Lấy làm tiếc vì phải (thờng báo tin xấu)
Ex: We regret to inform the passengers that the flight for Washington DC was canceled
because of the bad weather
8) Regret doing smt: Lấy làm tiếc vì đã
Ex: He regrets leaving school early It's a big mistake.
II INFINITIVES
1 To-infinitive
1 Hình thức nguyên thể có to (V- to): đợc dùng sau một số động từ:

- Sau các động từ: Agre , appear, afford, ask, demand, expect, hesitate, intend, invite, want, wish, hope, promise, decide, tell, refuse, learn, fail (thất bại), plan, manage,
pretend (giả vờ), remind, persuade, encourage, force, order, urge (thúc giục), seem, tend, threaten,…
- Trong các cấu trúc:
+ It takes / took + O + thời gian + to-inf
+ chỉ mục đích (để)
+ sau các từ hỏi: what, where, when, how, …
+ It + be + adj + to-inf: thật … để
Ex: It is interesting to study English
+ S + be + adj + to-inf
Ex: I’m happy to receive your latter
+ S + V + too + adj / adv + to-inf
+ S + V + adj / adv + enough + to-inf
+ S + find / think / believe + it + adj + to-inf
Ex: I find it difficult to learn English vocabulary
- Sau các từ nghi vấn: what, who, which, when, where, how ,… (nhưng thường không dùng sau why)
Ex: I don’t know what to say
* Note:
- allow / permit/ advise / recommend + O + to-inf She allowed me to use her pen
- allow / permit / advise / recommend + V-ing She didn’t allow smoking in her room
2 Bare infinitive (V1)
Động từ nguyên mẫu không to được dùng:
- Sau động từ khiếm khuyết: can, will, shall, could, would,…
- Sau các động từ: let, make, would rather, had better
Ex: They made him repeat the whole story
- Help + to-inf / V1 / with Noun
Ex: He usually helps his sister to do her homework
He usually helps his sister do her homework
He usually helps his sister with her homework
2 V + O + to V
3 advise / order / allow / ask / tell / request / enable / encourage / want / expect / warn / invite / expect / wish
