1 The necessity of the thesis
At any stage of history, young people are always the aspect representing the life of the nation, the culture of the nation and humanity This is the age of many dreams and aspirations, being the endogenous resources of the country, has great potential with promising valuable contributions to the cause of construction and defense of the country Young people are seen as a growing social force, both physically and mentally, who are the future owners of the country President Ho Chi Minh once stated: One year starting in the spring A life begins from the youth Youth is the spring
of the society According to him, for the survival and prosperity of a country, young people increasingly expressed their great position: the state being prosper or failed, weak or strong is partly by the youth
Youth are and will be the main force of the industrialization and modernization of the country This is reflected in the ability to be sensitive to socio-political issues, the ability to acquire knowledge, to acquire new knowledge in the fields of science, technology, culture and society At present, the process of accelerating industrialization and modernization in the context of globalization is taking place very quickly and strongly, bringing about great economic and social benefits These positive changes have created a new vitality into the enthusiasm of the youth With changes in the economic life, cultural spirit in the direction of being increasingly better, the youth force of Vietnam believes in the leadership of the Party, clearly see the rightfulness in the way of renewal country This contributes to the formation
of young people with good faith, ideal and moral, clear and healthy living style, facilitating the process of promoting traditional moral values in the building of personality youth
Globalization is becoming an indispensable trend for all countries, including Vietnam, to integrate and develop With the "rules of the game", globalization is posing the problem of being - lost The great opportunity, which is very much, is the access and capital, the achievements of science and technology from the developed economies; The exchange of human civilized values However, it is necessary to be aware that globalization is

Under such conditions, the influence of culture, lifestyle, and ethics, especially the West, on the younger generation is relatively clear In addition
to the positive aspects, a part of young people have not had high striving spirit, ignoring socio-political issues, to fade the ideal of revolution, not determining the target, livingspirit, manifesting degeneration of morality, lifestyle, involving in social evils, law violation On the other hand, due to the ideological struggle is happening strongly and violently, as hostile forces inside and outside the country seek to attack us comprehensively, especially
in the fields of politics, culture, first of all, with the younger generation to destroy the construction of socialism in our country Non-cultural, debauched, inhumanized products flood into our country, alienating and transforming a part of the youth The decline of the world view, human life, moral quality increase, causing the general concern of the whole society From here set a series of issues for the youth How can Vietnamese youth meet the heavy but glorious demands that the country is putting on their shoulders, how to build a generation of young people who are all-round, modern and virtuous, have talents, rich personality in the context of globalization, international integration today
It should be noted that the promotion of the traditional ethical role for the building of the youth’s personality in the context of globalization is not only a result of the deterioration of the morality of the lifestyle of the youth,
It is also a long-term development orientation with strategic vision and action Economic development and social modernization need the power of the economy, but in the end, the economy has no purpose in itself Without building a healthy spiritual foundation and life, the society can not develop sustainably, young people can not establish a healthy career and find good prospects in life
This is a hot issue set out in the process of building personality for young people today
Trang 5The XI Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam emphasized: "To attach importance to building the personality of the Vietnamese people in terms of ideals, intellect, ethics, lifestyle, physical, ethnic self-sufficiency, social responsibility, law enforcement, especially in the younger generation" Here, the promotion of the role of traditional ethical values for the building
of personality for youth is considered as one of the most important tasks in the "human cultivation" in our country today
In order to contribute to the clarification of the above contents, I chose
the issue "Traditional ethical values and the building of Vietnamese youth character in the context of globalization today" as the research topic
2 Research purposes and research tasks
2.1 Research purposes
Clarifying the role of traditional ethical values and the role it plays in practice in the development of young people's personality, thus suggesting the main direction and solution for promoting the role of traditional ethical values with the building the character of Vietnamese youth in the context of globalization today
2.2 Research tasks
For this purpose, the thesis has the following basic tasks:
- Overview of research projects related to the topic
- Clarifying the concept of the youth’s personality; Content, method of building up the character of young people in Vietnam today The analysis clarifies the role of traditional ethical values in building a young person's personality in the context of globalization today
- Analyzing the impact of globalization on the role of traditional values
in the development of Vietnamese youth
- Clarifying the reality of the role of traditional ethical values in building Vietnamese youth in the context of current globalization, the causes and the problems posed by that situation
- Proposing orientations and solutions to promote the role of traditional ethical values in building Vietnamese youth in the context of globalization

The thesis is based mainly on Marxism-Leninism ideas, Ho Chi Minh's ideology, the Communist Party's guidelines on traditional ethical values, youth personality, and youth character building
4.2 Research Methodology
The dissertation uses the methodology of CNDVBC and CNDVLS and uses a combination of methods: History and Logic, Analysis and Compilation, Comparison, to achieve the purpose set by the subject
