Warm up (3 mins) Display Ss’ drawing and play game back to back Whole class 2.Look, listen and repeat. (8 mins) Tell Ss that they are going to practise introducing themselves and responding to the introduction. Describe the picture by using the questions “ Who’s he?”; “Who’s she?”; “Where are they?”; “What are they doing?”. Explain what happen in the first picture: Mai and Nam introduce themselves. Have Ss repeat the text a few times. Repeat the procedure with the second picture Listen to the tape and say along. Whole class Whole class ; half, pairs 3. Point and say. (10 mins) Tell Ss that they are going to practise saying HelloHi. I’m + name and responding to the greeting Point to the pictures and elicit hisher name Teach new words.
