WEEK 2 SCHOOL & YOUR STUDY

AIMS

 To get students to generalize school requirements

 To reflect students’ expectations and their responsibilities

 To know how and what to set plans for their coming semesters

ACTIVITIES

1 Self-reflection: Students reflect some aspects about school: what they like, what they don’t like and what they wish to do or have

2 Bright ideas: Solutions to some school aspects

3 Future resolutions: identify what is important and decisive in sts’ study in coming semesters => list resolutions to get the best outcomes

Tell about how you have been studying so far in LHU Will you make any change for the next semesters?

 To see how students have been studying English so far

 To see their weaknesses and strengths in practising speaking skills

 To suggest some good tips for students to study speaking more effectively

ACTIVITIES

1 Students reflect how they have been practising speaking skills during 2 years (good and weak points) and self-evaluate the effects and progress made

2 Students suggest better techniques to study speaking

Evaluate your speaking skills so far and how you would improve it

AIMS

 To make a plan on how to advertise a “student trip”

 To design a resort and win the bid of the project

 To make a plan on how to advertise tours in Dong Nai

ACTIVITIES

1 Students as Travel Agents make plan to advertise a trip for students in LHU

2 Students are supposed to attend a bid for owning deserted island and make it a resort

3 Students in groups choose a place in Dong Nai and plan to make it become a tourist destination
