you’ve ever eaten
Todd: That should be easy—we like soup Mike: We want plain old vegetable soup.
Right everybody?
(All five friends nod their heads.)
Trang 7Taylor: My mom already cut up everything
for me All I have to do is mix it up and cook it You’ll like this soup
Sheree: Do you have a recipe?
Taylor: (surprised)A recipe? My Grandma
Zora says to make soup taste good all you need is love
Trang 8Taylor: Soup is easy to make You put in a
pinch of this and that, and then you’ve got good tasty soup
Mike: Oh no! Isn’t that the same thing she
said about the yellow cake she made?
Trang 9Taylor: Just remember, I’m not the one who
smeared the icing everywhere
Todd: No, you’re the one who put all that
butter in the cake batter
Taylor: I wanted the cake to be buttery
and yellow
Trang 10Taylor: Well, it’s not your turn to
cook It’s mine, and I want
to make soup I’ll call you when it’s ready
Trang 11Taylor out of the kitchen.
Rachel: Then we sneak in and add something
to the soup
Sheree: Taylor will taste how bad it is
Jerod: Then she’ll agree that she does need
a recipe
Trang 12Todd: (off stage) Taylor, would you
please come out here?
Taylor: Oh, all right
(Taylor puts lid on pot before walking away.)
Trang 13Sheree: (walks into kitchen, talking to herself)
I hate hot sauce I’ll pour some in
(sneaks back out)
Taylor: (walks back into kitchen) That’s
strange Mike called me just to remind me that we’re all good friends
Trang 14Jerod: (off stage) Taylor, would you mind
coming out? I’ve got something to show you
Taylor: (puts down cup and puts lid on pot)
This had better be important
Rachel: (comes into kitchen, puts an onion into
soup, and forgets to put lid back on.)
I hate onions (sneaks back out)
Trang 15up lid) That’s strange I thought
I put the lid on the pot Oh well
(stirs soup)
Sheree: Taylor! Come quickly!
Taylor: What now?(drops spoon into pot
and runs out of room)
Trang 16Mike: (sneaks into kitchen) Hey, what is this?
I hate grassy stuff in my food (reads
label) Tea leaves Looks like plain old
yard grass to me (dumps it into soup
and sneaks back out)
Trang 17the soup is ready!
(All five friends enter and sit at table Taylor
tastes soup.)
Rachel: It tastes bad, right?
Jerod: Don’t worry about it
Sheree: It’s okay, Taylor.
Mike: Maybe you can use a recipe
next time
Todd: Sorry.
