3 Introduction to the dissertation
Coastal aquaculture development contributes to implemeting restructuring strategy of the fisheries sector in Thanh Hoa province However, the aquacultural development of the region is still unstable In order to develop the aquaculture of this coastal area, the thesis assessed the current status of aquaculture development in many aspects of time and space including species, feeding methods, cooperation results, effectiveness as well as the application of scientific advances Besides, the thesis also analyzed the factors affecting the aquaculture development of the region Finally, the thesis proposed scientifically based solutions to develop aquaculture in the coastal area of Thanh Hoa province
4 New contributions of the dissertation to academic and theory
The aquacultural development means the increase in terms of expanding areas and enhancing production method in order to exploit effectively the potential of coastal areas, meet the market demand and increase the income of households In coastal areas of Thanh Hóa province, intensive shrimp farming is effective and distinguished from each type of scale (black tiger shrimp raising 2-4
ha, clam raising 1-3 ha for higher economic efficiency in household type)
Factors affecting aquaculture development include: (i) Group of mechanisms; (ii) elements of plan and planning management; (iii) Group of aquaculture production conditions; (iv) Factors development of processing sites, in which this has quantified the factors affecting productivity of improved methods of rasing black tiger shrimp
According to the results of the study, the thesis proposes solutions based on scientific evidences including: (i) completing a number of policy mechanisms, (ii) planning the aquaculture development; (iii) developing types and methods of production; (iv) applying technical advances (v) maintaining and improving consumption market; (vi) Reducing water pollution, (vii) improving conditions for aquaculture development
