C Methods: Pelmanism, Rub out and Remember, Slap the board, Matching,

II WARM UP (5 minutes)

Pelmanism

- Prepares 10 cards with numbers on one side, the

verbs on the other and makes sure the verbs are

mixed

- Divides students into two teams and asks them to

choose two numbers

- Turns the cards over and see if they match"fat- thin",

gives them one mark If not, turns the cards over

again and asks the next team

III NEW LESSON (35minutes)

Step 1: Presentation

Activity 1 Vocabulary:

- Draw a face on the board , point each detail on the

face and mark the name of each detail

- Sts look at the picture drawn on the board, pay

attention to each part of the face as the teacher

- Label the picture as pre-teaching

- Rub out and Remember

- Slap the board

- Matching

Step 2: Practice

Wordsquare:

- Put a poster of word square on the board and inform

the topic “Things in the classroom”

- Divide the class into 2 teams

- Ask Ss to find out hidden words and circle the words

they can see

label the parts of the body as quickly as possible

- Write the words whose letters are in a random order

on the board

- Divide the class into 2 teams Ask students from two

- Put the table on the board

- Get the students to come up to the board and put a

tick in the box if they think the words go together If

the worsd do not go together then they leave the box

- Set the scene: Mai have a new doll Mai and Lan

are talking about her doll.

- T reads out the dialogue and writes a few key words

on the board to help sts remember what the two

speakers in the dialogue say to each other

- Sts reproduce the dialogue from these board cues

until it is memorized

- Sts practice the whole thing in open pairs then in

close pairs

Mai: I have a new doll.

Lan: What color is her hair?

Mai: It's black

Lan: What color are her eyes?

Mai: They are brown

- Ask students to look at the picture (4 dolls)

- Run through all picture cues
