Year-end bonus analysis

This year (2016) shows interesting trends with some jobseekers opting for jobs with salaries lower than expectation, while others benefiting from higher-paying salary jobs in certain industries These findings are extracted from our newest report - SALARY & BONUS INSIGHTS REPORT FULL YEAR 2016 With the help of nearly 350 HR experts and more than

3800 jobseekers participating in two comprehensive surveys, we hope the report will give you an insightful picture about the current salary and bonus packages in Vietnam

HR Insider’s Salary & Bonus Insights Report Full-Year 2016 presents an analysis of the salary data

specified in each job posting on VietnamWorks.com from January 01, 2016 to December 31, 2016

Most of the jobs are for the Vietnam Market

Each employer advertising their job offers on VietnamWorks.com was asked to fill in 2 fields,

minimum salary and maximum salary they would like to offer for each of their job vacancies These

2 fields are the basis of the salary data we’ve compiled in this report

Salary range is based on maximum salary field If the jobs had no maximum salary, minimum salary

will be filed in There are 7 pre-defined salary ranges: less than $250, $251-$500, $501-$700,

$701-$1000, $1001-$2000, $2001-$3000, and more than $3000

For example, a job posted with minimum salary of $260 and max salary of $1000 will be listed

under predefined salary range of $701-$1000 A job posted with minimum salary of $260 without

maximum salary will be listed in the range of $251-$500

Employers were given a choice whether to show their salaries to jobseekers or not on VietnamWorks

com We respect employers’ discretion, and all the data included in this report, while comprehensive,

does not reveal any specific employer’s posted salary

There are many factors determining a jobseeker’s decision to view and apply to a job Salary is one,

but not all of them The purpose of this report is to state facts based on real data of salary, views,

and applications per job post, not to draw a comprehensive conclusion on the impact of salary on

jobseekers’ behaviors

All salary data used in this report is monthly salary

Exchange rate: 22,615 VND/USD

- Employer survey received nearly 350 responses from HR experts across Vietnam

- Jobseeker survey received more than 3800 responses from jobseekers working in different industries

In this analysis, “median number” was used alongside with the “average number” Statistically, “median number” is the middle number of a set of orderly-arranged numbers These two numbers best depict the general bonuses that jobseekers received in 2016
