I Cách dùng one, another, the other

Danh từ theo sau các từ này phải ở dạng số ít

1) One/a chỉ đơn vị một người hay một vật

· One person is holding a banana

2) Another một (cái )khác,được sử dụng như tính từ,theo sau là danh từ số

ít

· Another woman is holding a hat

3) The other một (cái) còn lại cuối cùng,được sử dụng như tính từ theo sau

là danh từ số ít

· The other woman is doing housework

II Cách dùng other, others, the others

1) Other vài(cái) khác,theo sau là danh từ số nhiều

· Other students are from Vietnam

2) Others những thứ khác nữa,được sử dụng như đại từ giữ chức năng chủ

ngữ trong câu,theo sau là động từ

· Others are from Thailand

3) The others những (cái) khác còn lại cuối cùng,được sử dụng như đại từ

giữ chức năng chủ ngữ trong câu,theo sau là động từ

· The others are from America

4) Ngoài ra còn 1 số cụm đáng chú ý khác nữa:

nhau thường giữa 2 người

ONE ANOTHER : lẫn nhau Thường dùng trên 2 người

ONE ANOTHER : theo sau

ONE AFTER ANOTHER : lần lượt người nọ sau người kia
