The returned information is unused, run the /etc/rc.d/omud start command to start the

omud

The returned information is neither running nor unused, reinstall the OMU application in the

active workspace

Trang 29

Installing OMU Applications by Using a USB Storage Device

 A USB storage device is used in the following three scenarios:

 Initially installing the OMU operating system and applications.

 Restoring the corrupted OMU operating system.

 Procedure:

 Prepare a USB storage device which have already install the data.

 Insert the USB storage device into any of the USB ports on the OMU board panel.

 Remove and then install the OMU board to reset the OMU.

Trang 30

Logging In to the OMU

 On the computer run the SSH terminal,

PuTTY.

 Enter the IP address of the OMU.

Log in to the OMU as user root.

Trang 43

Check the Operating Status of OMU Processes

Run the /etc/rc.d/omud status command to check the running status of OMU processes

Trang 44

Querying the Current Version of the OMU Application

Run the cd /mbsc/upgrade command to switch to the OMU installation directory, and

then run the ls command to query the current version of the OMU application

 If the version of the OMU application is different from that required by the operator,

Uninstalling the OMU application firstly , and then install the OMU application in the active workspace

Trang 45

Querying the Network Configuration of the OMU Ethernet Adapt ers

 Querying the external fixed IP address: ifconfig bond1

 Querying the external virtual IP address: ifconfig bond1:0

 Querying the internal fixed IP address: ifconfig vlan1

 Querying the internal virtual IP address: ifconfig vlan1:0

 Querying the debugging IP address: ifconfig bond2

 Querying the IP address for the backup channel between the active EOMUa and the standby EOMUa: ifconfig bond3

Trang 46

Changing the External IP Address

Run the cd /mbsc/bam/version_a/bin/bam command to switch to the directory where the

omutool program locates

Run the /omutool command to start omutool.

Run the /omutool extercard The external fixed IP address The subnet mask (The gateway IP

address) command to change the external fixed IP address and the subnet mask

 /omutool extercard 10.161.10.100 255.255.255.0 10.161.10.1

Run the /omutool extervip The external virtual IP address The subnet mask command to

change the external virtual IP address and the subnet mask

 /omutool extervip 10.161.10.102 255.255.255.0

Trang 47

Changing the Name

Run the /omutool hostname OMU name command to change the name of the OMU

For example, you can run the following command and then press Enter to change the OMU name to omu_123: /omutool hostname omu_123.

Trang 48

Setting the Work Mode of the OMU

 Set the work mode of the OMU according to the number of OMU boards that are

configured

If only one OMU board is configured, run the /omutool dualmode single command to set the

work mode to the single-server mode

If two OMU boards (active and standby OMU boards) are configured, run the /omutool

dualmode dual command to set the work mode to the dual-server mode.
