Cách sử dụng Mệnh đề đứng sau as if as though Ví dụ Trên thực tế Dùng as if as though Diễn tả một hành động có thật hay có khả năng xảy ra ở hiện tại Thì hiện tại đơn He is probably a boss. Có khả năng là anh ấy là ông chủ. He acts as if as though he is in charge. Anh ấy hành động như thể anh ấy là người chịu trách nhiệm. Diễn tả một hành động không có thật ở hiện tại Thì quá khứ đơn. Nếu trong câu chứa động từ to be thì được chia thành “were” cho tất cả các ngôi. Tuy nhiên “was” vẫn có thể dùng trong văn phong không trang trọng. She is not a child. Cô ấy không phải là một đứa trẻ. He talked to her as if as though she were a child. Anh ấy nói với cô ấy như thể cô ấy là một đứa trẻ vậy. Diễn tả một hành động không có thật ở quá khứ Thì quá khứ hoàn thành Tom did not watch the news on TV last night. Tom không xem tin tức đó trên tivi vào tối qua. Tom said as if as though he had watched the news on TV last night. Tom nói như thể là anh ấy đã xem tin tức đó trên tivi vào tối qua vậy.

Sau wish và only là một mệnh đề chỉ sự ao ước một ĐK

không có thật Mệnh đề sau wish và if only được xem như một mệnh đề danh từ.

Sau wish/only có 3 loại mệnh đề được

dùng để chỉ sự ao ước ở hiện tại, quá

khứ và tương lai.

E.g.

- I don’t have a car.

 I wish (that) I had a car

 He wishes (that) he haddn’t changed his job.

 She wishes (that) she would get maried to

a good man.

1.Ao ước ở hiện tại (present wish)

Uses: diễn đạt mong ước về một điều

không có thật hoặc không thể thực hiện

được ở hiện tại

 Form:

 S + WISH (s/es) + S+ V (past subjunctive)

IF ONLY

E.g He feels sorry that he works out door.

 He wishes he worked in-door.

Note: Be  were cho tất cả các ngôi.

 She wishes she were a boy.

 Uses: mong muốn điều gì đó xảy ra hoặc không xảy ra hoặc muốn người nào đó làm hoặc không làm điều gì đó

 Form:

would/could/might + V (bare-infinitive)
