I like Christmas time, it makes me happy When I turn on the radio and hear Christmas
carols I occasionally smile I know not everyone likes this time of year, some people don’t have family around them and they often feel lonely It is a sad time too for some people
when they think of friends and family who are no longer with them But still Christmas is
usually a happy time and most people enjoy it, although, sometimes parents feel stressed
when the children ask for lots of presents from Santa and then they have to go shopping
and always spend lots of money I wish people could just feel the love and joy of the first
Christmas, and forget about all the commercialism
Read this short paragraph with the class Ask them to highlight the adverbs of time and then using some of the words on the list write their own short paragraph about what they feel at this time
Christmas, the weather, holidays, shopping, giving or /and receiving gifts, food and cooking, or anything else their imagination allows Work alone no sharing just yet!
