Thailand is a wonderful country in Asia where it is never cold There are three seasons in Thailand: the cool season, the rainy season and the hot season Some people joke that they should be called hot, hotter and the hottest Thailand receives a lot of tourists every year They visit the many popular places around the country, in the mountains as well as near the sea Many tourists like to go trekking in the North and then relax on a peaceful island in the South Other attractions include beautiful temples, floating markets and elephant rides Shopping in Bangkok is also very popular
Thailand’s neighbours are Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Malaysia The Thai flag has five horizontal stripes and three colours: red white and blue
Thailand has a population of 65 million people and the major cities are Bangkok (capital) and Chiang Mai People speak Thai and some English as well
