5 WRITING:
Do you believe that personology is accurate? What other ways are there of analysing a person’s personality without knowing them?
(Possible answer: It’s unfair to judge
people without knowing them.) Another way is looking at people’s handwriting It is called “graphology”.
4 Listen one again and answer these questions.

Trang 3Part 1
Elsa:Hi, everyone I’m Elsa Fuller, and I believe that every face tells a story Our face is
the key to our personality, and personology is the art that can teach us how to read a face like a book Just by looking at the shape of someone’s face, and their eyes, nose and lips, you can discover a lot about their personality Through personology, we can learn about ourselves, the way we think and feel, and what our talents are We can make better decisions about the career we want Personology can also help us with relationships Let’s say we’ve met someone new and gorgeous – but are they right for us? Personology can give us the answer! And there’s the business aspect, too – today, more and more businesses are using personology to find the right people to work for them
Part 2
Elsa:The first thing I’d like to do is demonstrate Could I have a volunteer, please? OK,
how about you sitting at the back over there? Come on up here … thanks very much … what’s your name, then?
Matthew: Matthew.
Elsa:And how old are you Matthew?
Matthew: I’m eighteen
Elsa:And where do you live?
Matthew: Here in London, in Croydon.
Elsa:OK, Matthew, let’s have a good look at you First of all, the general shape of your
face … It’s quite wide, which means you’re confident, but you can be impulsive – sometimes you don’t think enough before you take action You’re a natural leader, but you can be too bossy
Your nose … hmm your nose is quite small and it’s round at the tip This shows that you like to help people You also like to know everything about people – you’re too curious sometimes! Your eyes are far apart, which means that you see the big picture, and you don’t focus on details You’re relaxed and open-minded But you’re late a lot, because you try to do too many things at once
Your mouth … your lips are quite thick This means you’re a generous person But you also talk quite a bit, sometimes too much! Your eyebrows are rounded and far from your eyes, which also means that you’re talkative
Well, Matthew, what do you think?
Matthew: I’m not sure I’m hardly ever late, and actually I don’t talk very much.
Elsa:Oh, but Matthew – personology can tell you things about yourself that you didn’t even
know!
