- Ask Ss to look at the picture and guess :

- Introduce the situation of the lesson ,

then explain some new words to Ss

- The simple past tense : question forms and negative forms

- Structures : What is/ was wrong with SB ?

Practice skills : practising in pair ,asking and filling in the survey

Educate Ss :when she/he is absent from the class he/she must have a sick note
