Joint

Using the (-) driver, remove the joint

Molding assemblyRemove the molding assembly using a(-) screwdriver

Remove the molding

Using the piano wire, cut the adhesive between side window glass and body Using a cutter knife scrape the old sealant smoothly to a thickness of about 1 mm on the bonding surface around the entire windshield flange

Remove the side window glass

Half fixed, Half slide type

Joint

Remove the joint using a flat-tipped(-) screwdriver

Molding assemblyRemove the molding assembly using a flat-tipped(-) screwdriver

Remove the molding

Using a cutter knife, or cutting machine cut the adhesive between side window assembly and body

Scrape the old sealant smoothly to a thickness of about 1 mm on the bonding surface

Remove the side window assembly.

Remove the side window from the side window assembly

Installation

Clean carefully remaining adhesive on the body side pillar Repair damaged coating and rust, if any 2

Clean the whole edge (width: 20mm) of the glass and the glass matching area with the unleaded gasoline and dry up at least 3 minutes 3

Glue the window dam around the body member and window pillar

Install the clip of side window lower part

Install the molding of side window front part.

Apply the seek cleaner on the glass with width 20 mm and set 5-10 minutes after. Upon applying cleaner, do not touch or attach oily object

Apply the adhesive of the window dam

• Glue the adhesive with height 12 mm and width 8 mm of triangle.

• In applying adhesive, be careful not to make incontinuous or excessive bead at beginning, at finish ing and at a corner

• It is a quick hardening adhesive Proceed the work one by one

• A working shift shall be not longer than 8 minutes from be ginning to apply the adhesive to matching and fitting the glass

• The adhesive is of urethane series, that does not go with silicone sealer The adhesive shall be used at least 1mm away from silicone sealer and good

ventilation shall be provided, as well

Lift up the side window glass using suction cups not to contaminate the cleaner appliedsurface on the side window 9

Caring not to remove adhesive applied at the bottom by the glass, put the side window bottom on the clip

Watching the right-left gaps of the glass install the glass pressing inside from the upper part

Press the upper part of the glass with the clip

Remove the surplus adhesive quickly before hardened

Molding

(1)Apply the adhesive (SEEKER FLEX 250PC) to the stud position

(2)Install the lower flange of molding to the window glass

(3)Fill the adhesive in the stud

Molding Assembly

Install the molding assembly to the upper and lower window glass

Install the joint to the molding assembly connection and end cap to the end

• Heed to top or bottom of molding assembly Install the knar row section of molding assembly to the window glass side

• For installation of the clip, draw the one side the molding assembly

Do not tap it expressively

Clean the adhesive or pollutants with gasoline on the window glass and molding.

Half fixed, Half slide type

Remove or clean the adhesive of body of pillar If the paintwork is damaged, repair the damaged area with touch-up paint or antirust solvent

Clean the whole edge of the side window assembly and the window assembly adhesive area using the unleaded gasoline and leave it at least 3 minutes to dry

• Apply the SEEK cleaner in the whole round when installing the window

assembly into the adhesive area

• Caution to be free from foreign material (Hand mark Oily gloves)

• If not confirming the former procedure, it may cause the leak water and the grease and the window assembly can be slipped out

Attach the window dam around the body member and window pillar as shown

Install the lower edge clip of the side window

Install the molding to the front side window assembly

Matching the glass, apply appropriate quantity of gasoline for better slip of rubber

Apply the SEEK cleaner to side window assembly and window assembly contact surface and set 5-10 minutes after

Upon applying cleaner, do not touch or attach oily abject

Apply the adhesive (SEEKER FLEX 250PC) along window dam

• Glue the adhesive with height 12mm, width 8mm of triangle

Using a glass holler, lift up the side window glass and heed not to contamination of the side window assembly of the cleaner surface

Install the side window assembly on the clip

Heeding the gaps of both sides of window assemblies, push the upper glass to the inside

Fix the clip of chassis upper part

Quickly scrape or wipe excessive adhesive off the putty knife or gauze.

Remove the masking tape to make drain hole.

Molding

(1)Apply the adhesive (SIKA) to the stud position

(2)Match the lower flange of the molding with the window assembly (3)Fill the adhesive in the stud

Molding Assembly

Install the molding assembly to the upper and lower window glass

Install the joint to the molding assembly connection and end cap to the end

• Heed to top or bottom of molding assembly

Install the narrow section of molding assembly to the window glass side.

• For installation of the clip, draw the one side the molding assembly

Clean the adhesive or pollutants with the gasoline on the window glass and molding

Side Window(Fixed Window)

Cut the weather strip glass fitting area using a cutter knife and put off the glass outward from the vehicle

Clean the glass cut area with the unleaded gasoline and leave it at least 3 minutes to dry

Carefully clean off the remaining sealing material on the window frame

Install the weather strip on the glass

Install the glass on the window frame and carefully apply sealing material (Packing seal 960) on the matching surface preventing water leak

Clean the sealing material and dirt around the glass weather strip

Side Window(Sliding Window Area)

Move the window frame(built-in) to the center and release the attaching type rail mounting screw(A) 2

Pull off the window frame(built-in) to the left together with the attaching type rail

Cut the fitting surface between weather strip(Rubber) and the glass

4 Disassemble the window frame and remove the side window glass the weather

strip(Rubber)

Checking

Check the run channel for damage, and replace it, if required

Cleanse the glass cut area with unleaded gasoline and leave it to dry at least 3 minutes

Remove sealing material attached to the window frame(built-in)

Apply sealing material (Packing seal 960) at the fitting area between the weather strip(Rubber) and the glass and insert the side window 4

Assemble the window frame(built-in)

Clean sealing material and dirt around the glass and the weather strip using unleaded gasoline

6

Set the attaching type rail and fit onto the window frame

Fix the attaching type rail, tightening the mounting screw(A)

Caution for the use of Seeker flex 250PC

The followings are to provide general warnings for the use of adhesive and cleaner Removal and installation procedures for the window are provided at the corresponding chapter

Removing the window and the window assembly, cut the adhesive to leave approx 1mm thick layer using piano wire or a cutting machine

For removing the coating, apply primer VP 209 In order to remove ceramic film on glass, apply black primer and then repair it

Body side and window matching area shall be cleaned with the unleaded gasoline and left for drying at least 3 minutes

Upon applying Thicker Cleaner No.1, wait 5-10 minutes for drying

Upon applying cleaner, do not touch or attach oily object

Apply the sealant(Seekerflex 250PC) according to following cautions

• Glue the adhesive with height 12mm and width 8mm of triangle

• In applying adhesive, be careful not to make incontinuous or excessive bead at beginning, at finishing and at a corner

• It is a quick hardening adhesive Proceed the work one by one A working shift shall be not longer than 8 minutes from beginning to apply the adhesive to matching and fitting the glass

Lift up the side window using suction cups not to contaminate the cleaner applied surface

If the cleaner applied surface is touched or oily material is stuck on the surface, apply it once again

Remove the surplus adhesive quickly before hardened and clean with unleaded gasoline
