And made a perfect ball

I rolled it in my mittens And threw it past a wall

It passed below a jay
It zipped around a kitten Who chased it on its way

And headed toward a star

I stood and watched and wondered How a ball could fl y that far

from here to there,
As far as I could see
Maybe you could catch it, And send it back to me
