Sáng kiến kinh nghiệm này tập trung vào việc giúp các em học sinh học tốt kĩ năng viết môn Tiếng Anh 12, cụ thể đối với từng dạng viết khác nhau trong chương trình sách giáo khoa Tiếng A

PHẦN A: ĐẶT VẤN ĐỀ

I LÝ DO CHỌN ĐỀ TÀI:

Viết (writing) là một kỹ năng khó, tuy nhiên kỹ năng viết có thể trở nên dễ dàng hơn nếu chúng ta hiểu và biết cách viết vì mỗi thể loại viết nhất định đòi hỏi ngôn ngữ đặc thù và cách viết của riêng nó Sáng kiến kinh nghiệm này tập trung vào việc giúp các em học sinh học tốt kĩ năng viết môn Tiếng Anh 12, cụ thể đối với từng dạng viết khác nhau trong chương

trình sách giáo khoa Tiếng Anh 12 các em cần phải trả lời hai câu hỏi: Viết cái gì? (What to

write?) và Viết như thế nào?( How to write?) theo đó các em định hướng được cách viết rõ

ràng hơn Sáng kiến kinh nghiệm này giúp các em có thể học kỹ năng viết môn Tiếng Anh 12 tốt hơn bằng cách cung cấp từ vựng và cấu trúc đặc thù cho từng loại viết, dàn bài và bài viết mẫu cho các em có thể tự học dễ dàng Từ đó các em có thể thích rèn luyện và tự hoàn thiện

kỹ năng này hơn, đấy cũng là lý do chính để tôi chọn đề tài này

III PHƯƠNG PHÁP NGHIÊN CỨU:

Tôi giúp học sinh phân tích dạng bài cụ thể ở từng đề bài, từng câu trong phần writing của mỗi đơn vị bài học trong chương trình sách giáo khoa (SGK) Tiếng Anh 12CB, từ đó giúphọc sinh thiết lập dàn bài chi tiết, cung cấp từ vựng, cấu trúc cần thiết Dựa trên dàn bài, từ vựng, cấu trúc đã được giới thiệu yêu cầu học sinh rèn luyện kỹ năng viết đã có sao cho phù hợp với từng kiểu bài, từng đối tượng học sinh Bên cạnh đó, tôi còn giúp học sinh tổng hợp các điểm chung, các bài có kiểu viết giống nhau hoặc gần giống nhau để các em có thể bắt tayvào viết dễ dàng hơn và nhanh hơn

PHẦN B: NỘI DUNG

I CƠ SỞ LÍ LUẬN:

Kỹ năng viết (writing) trong chương trình SGK Tiếng Anh 12CB có nhiều dạng lạ và khó hơn Tiếng Anh 10, 11 đòi hỏi học sinh phải biết cách lập dàn bài, tổng hợp từ vựng, cấu trúc câu phù hợp mới có thể viết tốt được Hơn thế nữa các kỳ kiểm tra định kỳ của trường và cuối kỳ của Sở GD&ĐT đối với học sinh khối 12 hầu như không có phần dành để kiểm tra kỹ năng viết, đó cũng là một số lý do khiến học sinh lơ là trong việc rèn luyện kỹ năng này.Vì các em có thể nghĩ nó không được cho thi nên các em dần dần không còn quan tâm tới kỹ năng viết nữa Điều này thậm chí có thể gây khó khăn lớn cho các em nếu gặp phải đề thi có

kỹ năng viết sau này Để giúp các em học sinh lớp 12 có thể học tốt hơn kỹ năng viết môn Tiếng Anh 12 tôi đã cho ra đời sáng kiến kinh nghiệm này

II THỰC TRẠNG CỦA HỌC SINH:

- Học sinh lớp 12C3 trường THPT Võ Văn Kiệt chưa có kỹ năng và phương pháp viết

tốt, học sinh lớp 12C4 tuy phần lớn được rèn luyện kỹ năng viết đều đặn nhưng vẫn còn một vài học sinh chưa thực hành tốt kỹ năng này.

- Kiến thức: Dựa trên nội dung đề bài và gợi ý trong SGK và kỹ năng viết (writing) trong chương trình Tiếng Anh 12 CB

- Kỹ năng: vận dụng kiến thức, phương pháp tư duy, phân tích, tổng hợp, rèn luyện kỹ năng viết từ đơn giản đến phức tạp

- Đối với học sinh trung bình yếu: yêu cầu nắm vững kiến thức cơ bản, đóng góp vào việc xây dựng bài phần mà các em có khả năng, hoàn thành phần bài viết tương đối vừa sức,

từ từ hoàn thành bài viết của mình

- Đối với học sinh khá, giỏi: yêu cầu các em trực tiếp tích cực đóng góp thiết lập dàn bài, xây dựng từ vựng, cấu trúc mà các em sẽ sử dụng trong bài viết, áp dụng phương pháp rèn luyện kỹ năng viết để giải quyết phần bài tập khó, có tính chất nâng cao, vận dụng kiến thức một cách tổng hợp để hoàn thành bài viết

III BIỆN PHÁP THỰC HIỆN:

Bước 1: Giúp học sinh xác định thể loại bài viết, tìm các từ vựng, cấu trúc cần thiết

cho bài viết

Giúp học sinh xây dựng các dàn bài chi tiết, cung cấp từ vựng, cấu trúc phù hợp theo từng kiến thức đơn vị bài học trong SGK (cụ thể như phần được trình bày ở phần kế tiếp) Ở phần này tôi sẽ hướng dẫn học sinh làm việc theo cặp, nhóm ở phần này giúp học sinh biết cách hợp tác, biết chia sẻ nhằm phát huy kỹ năng lãnh đạo của người đứng đầu Các em cũng học được cách đương đầu với những khó khăn cũng như học cách biết suy nghĩ, biết tìm tòi sáng tạo, quyết định, phân tích cũng như biết cách đánh giá và giao tiếp có hiệu quả Với những cách thức trên, học sinh có thể học hỏi lẫn nhau để hoàn thành việc xây dựng dàn bài, tìm tòi, từ vựng, cấu trúc phục vụ cho bài viết dễ dàng hơn

Bước 2: Giúp học sinh tự viết bài của mình dựa trên cơ sở của dàn bài, từ vựng, cấu

trúc vừa mới được thiết lập xong Ở bước này nếu học sinh gặp khó khăn có thể trao đổi cùng các bạn hoặc giáo viên có thể hướng dẫn tường tận để học sinh có thể tự tin hoàn thành bài viết của mình

Bước 3: Khi hầu hết các em viết xong, tôi yêu cầu học sinh trao đổi bài để sửa lỗi cho

nhau

Bước 4: Chọn một, vài bài tiêu biểu để sửa trước lớp (nếu sử dụng bảng thông minh

thì có hiệu quả cao hơn).Qua đó rút kinh nghiệm những lỗi mà các em thường gặp, giúp các

em ngày càng hoàn thiện kỹ năng viết của mình Nếu có thời gian, giáo viên có thể thu bài củacác em về chấm, nhận xét và trả lại sau cho các em với cách này giáo viên có thể nhận thấy rõkhả năng của các em và giúp các em tiến bộ từng ngày

Dưới đây là một số dạng bài cách viết của từng dạng cụ thể và dàn bài, từ vựng, cấu trúc, bài mẫu của một số đề viết của môn viết Tiếng Anh 12 CB mà chúng ta có thể sử dụng

để hướng dẫn học sinh phát triển kỹ năng viết tốt hơn

DẠNG 1: VIẾT MỘT ĐOẠN VĂN (WRITING A PARAGRAPH)

Một đoạn văn là một chuổi câu phát triển, ủng hộ, chứng minh một ý nào đó Và ý nàythường là câu chủ đề của đoạn văn Các câu còn lại phát triển, giải thích, minh hoạ cho câu chủ đề này Câu kết luận, câu thường đứng cuối đoạn văn, là câu tóm tắt lại ý chính của đoạn văn đó bằng cách khác

A Câu chủ đề (Topic sentence)

Câu chủ đề thường là câu thường đứng đầu đoạn văn, và là câu:

1.Cho biết chủ đề của đoạn văn

2 Tổng quát nhất trong đoạn văn

3 Giới hạn chủ đề đó thành một hoặc nhiều chủ đề nhỏ, cụ thể (controlling ideas), mà những chủ đề nhỏ này có thể được thảo luận trong khuôn khổ của một đoạn văn Nói cách khác, các câu còn lại của đoạn văn sẽ giải thích, định nghĩa, làm rõ, và minh hoạ những ý

cụ thể này

Nói tóm lại, câu chủ đề thường có hai phần chính: chủ đề (topic) và các chủ đề nhỏ (controlling ideas)

B Supporting sentences

Lưu ý rằng câu phát triển ý (supporting sentences) những câu chứng minh cho câu chủ

đề Vì vậy, chúng cung cấp thông tin chi tiết hơn, và giải thích, hoặc minh hoạ bằng ví dụ (examples) hoặc dữ kiện (facts), số liệu (statistics) hoặc trích dẫn (quotations) hoặc kinh nghiệm bản thân (personal experience)

Tuy nhiên, mỗi một câu chứng minh cho câu chủ đề phải tập trung phát triển câu chủ

đề đó mà thôi Nói cách khác, đoạn văn phải có tính thống nhất

Ngoài ra, đoạn văn phải dễ đọc và dễ hiểu Các câu phát triển câu chủ đề câu chủ đề câu này phải được viết một cách có lô gíc, và phải được liên kết với nhau bằng các từ nối thích hợp ( ví dụ như : but, so, and…….)

C Câu kết luận ( Concluding sentence)

Câu kết luận ( concluding sentence) thường tóm tắt các ý chính của đoạn văn, hoặc nóilại câu chủ đề của đoạn văn bằng cách khác, hoặc cho biết quan điểm/ nhận xét của bạn về chủ đề và thường bắt đầu bằng các từ chuyển tiếp như: in summary, in conclusion, to

conclude, in brief, in short,………

Có thể tóm tắt cấu trúc một đoạn văn như sau:

A PARAGRAPH

* Topic sentence (Main idea)

Reasons, examples, facts, statistics,………

* Concluding sentence (Restatement of the topic sentence/ summary of the main points)

Vậy trước khi viết một đoạn văn, các em hãy theo các bước sau:

1 Liệt kê tất cả những ý các em có thể nghĩ ra được liên quan đến chủ đề đó

2 Đọc chủ đề cho sẵn, rồi chọn viết một câu chủ đề Gạch chân câu chủ đề này để nhắc các

em về trọng tâm của đoạn văn

3 Viết ra các ý giải thích và làm rõ câu chủ đề

4 Với mỗi ý lớn, hãy viết ra các ví dụ, số liệu, …mà chúng ta sẽ dùng để minh hoạ

5 Nghĩ cách để kết thúc đoạn văn, và viết nó ra

Sau khi các em vạch ra dàn ý như trên, hãy bắt đầu viết, và bám sát dàn ý đã vạch ra

- Levels of education: primary ( 5 years; start from the age of 6)

lower secondary (4 years)upper secondary (3 years)

- Compulsory education: 9 years (primary & lower secondary)

- The academic year: 35 weeks ( 9 months, from September to May)

- School terms : 2 terms: term 1 (Sept – Dec.), term 2 ( Jan – May)
