- Used when flow must be restricted to a particular level The system operates in pressure control as long as the measured flow is below the flow limit At that point speed is adjusted to stay below the allowable flow

- For low demand situations, a jockey pump can be used

in conjunction with a lead pump system The Jockey pump works in on-off control between two pressure setpoints

 Night and Day algorithm

- During night time, the system operates in fixed speed between two pressure setpoints In case of excessive demand, the system reverts back to normal lead pump operation

3 High Performance

 Setpoint Ramping

 On transition from any state into PID control, the reference is ramped from the current feedback level to the required setpoint This prevents an unwanted initial large error

 Pipe fill algorithm

 On initial start-up pipes may be empty Starting PID control under these conditions would result in the PID ramping up, due to a low feedback Pipe fill runs the system at a preset speed until a start pressure is reached and then transfers into PID control.
