N gày nay Tiếng Anh và Web là hai công cụ cần th iế t để hỗ trợ đắc lực cho công tá c nghiệp vụ T hông tin - Thư viện Người cán bộ thư việ n và quản li thô ng tin sử dụng kĩ năng Tiếng Anh để khai thá c và chọn lọc thông tin và sử dụng công nghệ W eb để xử lí và trình bà y thông tin Hơn nữa, người cán bộ thư việ n và sinh viê n ngành Thông tin - Thư viện phải sử dụng thành thạo Tiếrtg Anh để tạo điều kiện cho việc đào tạ o và tái đào tạo nhằm bắt Kịp nhịp p h á t triển nhanh chóng của ngành Thông tin - Thư việ n trên thế
