1 Warmup: Chatting

 Do you like English songs? Can you sing any songs in English?

Do you know the song which is sung on New Year’s Eve ?

2 Pre–teach:

– mind (n) : tâm trí, trí nhớ (synonym = memory)

– Auld Lang Syne (n) : = the Good Old days (tên một bài hát) – Due to (a) : vì, do, bởi, tại vì/ phải (syn)= caused by – Aquaintance (n) : người quen (explanation)

– Trusty (a) : đáng tin cậy (translation)

– Thine = your(s) (từ cổ) : của bạn

3 Openprediction:

 Students read the song silently and guess the missing words (One word for one blank)

II While listening:

- Ss listen to the song twice and check their prediction

- Compare the result with a partner

- Call on some Ss to give their answer

- Listen again and correct
